Regrouting

Restoration & Repair

Re-grouting is generally only required when the original grout is missing, or loose/flaky and has begun to fail, in most common cases you will notice the grout crumbling in certain places this will loosen and fall out. Re-grouting can also take place if the grout has been stained badly or become severely discoloured over time that it can't be cleaned back. During the re-grouting process, the pre existing grout will be removed and replaced with new grout.

How it Works

Our skilled technicians use diamond bit drills to drill the pre existing grout from the grout lines, by using a drill we get precise, accurate results. The depth of the grout lines are kept uniform and symmetrical. Once the pre existing grout has been removed the excess grout is disposed of with a vaccum and the area is cleaned. Our technicians are able to create a new grout mix to whatever colour choice you select prior to the commencement of any works.

Extra Charges

Sealing your grout lines is an additional $26 per square metre. (From $550 Additional)

 
Showers are high impact areas and have set prices starting from $600+gst for shower bases. From $800+gst for base and walls.

Instructions 
- If the area has grout missing in parts please refrain from getting the area wet for a minimum of 24 hours prior to our arrival.
- Moisture underneath your tiles can also cause damp and mould issues in the future.

Important Information
- Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for fresh grout to dry properly, grout colour can also alter slightly during this drying period.
- Sealed grout should not get wet until the sealer has fully cured, this can take up to 24 hours after sealing.
-Tiles are Fragile and with the re-grouting chips can occur in the process, there might be additional cost to repair these chips. Although our technicians take all caution during the re-grouting process to avoid any chips.

Waterproofing

 

  • Please be advised that regrouting will not resolve any waterproofing issues. If there are concerns about leaks, we recommend a leak detection test to accurately identify and address the source of the problem. This approach will ensure that the waterproofing is properly assessed and treated.it is the clients repsonsibility to notify Tile and Grout Pro of any leaks, waterproofing issues as this can significantly alter the results of a service

The team was professional and friendly. Worked quickly/hard and communicted well and knew their products and how to work with tiles. Our only issue was clean up. Our yard/ grass was impacted with waste water and epoxy grout, which lead to epoxy being walked into house on shoes. Small issue of epoxy ending up on door handles, walls, hoses and nozzles. Overall a good experience and were happy with the results. Our grass is recovering but we shouldn't have had to clean up. Would highly recommend this team (with a little attention to keeping it clean)

The men completing the work were courteous and reliable. Overall the work was satisfactory.however minor grout cracking and breakage was reported via 3 voice messages and an email with no response. When I was finally able to speak to a member of staff I was asked to forward my photos and request for the matters attention to complaints. Disappointing as I saw this matter as one that simple required a conversation with an appropriate person. We have not heard back from the complaints department.
